  • Attend a Prospective Parent Meeting

We require that each applicant’s parents attend a Prospective Parent Meeting to learn more about TCS and how our model works. These meetings occur once a month (Oct-May). We'll share the key features of our program and answer any questions you might have. After our discussion, you'll be treated to a tour of our campus, offering a glimpse into our classrooms and ongoing learning environment.
  • Read & Pray

Applying to any school is not a decision to take lightly. Please prayerfully consider If TCS is the best fit for your family’s needs, as well as the educational goals you have. To better understand our Christian, Classical model, we encourage you to read:
    • The Introduction to Classical Education by Dr. Christopher Perrin
    • Wisdom and Eloquence: A Christian Paradigm for Classical Learning by Robert Littlejohn and Charles T. Evans
    • The Well-Trained Mind by Jesse and Susan Wise Bauer

This event allows applicants to experience a TCS classroom, meet potential classmates, and get a feel for the TCS culture. During their time on campus, shadowing applicants will also complete their admissions assessment.
  • 6. Complete a Admissions Assessment

Admissions assessments help our academic team understand the concepts and skills the applicant has already mastered. For
applicants in grades 1-9, these one-hour assessments introduce classical concepts and learning styles used at TCS. While they are an important part of the application process, they are just one component. Assessments serve as a starting point for conversations during the admissions process and will not solely determine acceptance.

For Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten applicants, the admissions assessment takes place in a classroom setting. This provides an opportunity for us to observe your child’s readiness, interactions with peers, and participation in a group environment.
